Prayer Needs
Tuesday, October 09, 2018
- Please pray for our nine wonderful staff members to feel strengthened and encouraged! They are all working very hard, and though they love their work it can become discouraging and extremely emotionally draining to keep up with the growing clientele.
- Please pray for one new full-time doula and/or midwife to come on board the ministry. The current staff could certainly use the relief of having an extra pair of hands to bring into the rotations of births. With new staff comes a lot of time invested in training so please pray that we will be able to invest well into bringing up the next generation of doulas that we trust God will provide SOON.
- Please pray for the mamas that come in and learn about the process of pregnancy and their bodies that they will be motivated to keep up their health in their pregnancies. The staff do everything they can in the prenatal classes and nutrition appointments to educate the mamas in how to take care of themselves in this important period of life, but often the mamas drop the ball and are not physically ready for hard labor when the time comes.
- Pray also for spiritual hunger for the families whom we serve--that they may respond positively to the gospel messages they hear!
- Please pray for this fall as Casa Compasiva will be hosting a couple of different work teams from Canada and Mexico. We are hoping to give our building a bit of a face lift and we are so grateful for the volunteers God has already provided to make that happen. Pray for health for the team members as well as wisdom for us to know what projects to prioritize in the building. There is a lot of work to do!
- Please pray for a large amount of funds to come in by December so that we can end the year meeting budget!
- Praise Jesus for a busy summer in which the staff of Casa Compasiva helped to receive 15 new babies into the world!
- Praise Jesus for skilled welders and construction guys willing to come early next spring to build the emergency evacuation ramp...a much-needed project!
- Praise for Canadian leadership-development consultant helping us to strengthen the infrastructure, work through a lot of transitional issues, and move towards sustainability!
