Prayer Needs

Prayer Requests:

  • Since every week we are receiving several new clients, we still need  to cover each mama in prayer throughout their pregnancy, labor and delivery, and six weeks postpartum.
  • With Lila´s resignation comes a times of mourning, we will miss having her around to guide us, give us direction, and wise counsel.  We pray the Lord bless her health and her future life plans.
  • Due to these changes, are currently updating Protocols, Human Resource guide, and establishing a working budget that is culturally appropriate and reasonable.  This involves LOTS of numbers and investigation and editing. It is definitely draining.  We pray that reorganizing these vital areas will help us reaffirm our operational and administrative base.  We pray that the decisions being made will provide safe care, glorify God with willful servants, and help us to faithfully administer the monetary gifts the Lord provides us (Lk. 16:10-12).
  • We are also looking towards the future and contemplate the need for Casa to own its own casa! We ask you to pray for this goal since it is VITAL in helping us attain sustainability.  We know the Lord is great and the possibilities are infinite!  Pray for guidance in beginning fundraising and in finding a permanent home for Casa Compasiva.

Pray that the favor of the Lord our God be upon us and that He would establish the work of our hands!
(Psalm 90:17)

Praise for:

  • Eight + years of serving the women of Oaxaca with safe, compassionate maternity care!
  • Lila´s guidance and fundraising during these years 💗
  • The faithfulness of Casa Compasiva personal through thick and thin.
  • We have recently sent out an evaluation form to former clients and the reviews are great!  We will share some in future blog posts. God is being glorified!
  • Oaxaca midwives are now officially permitted to attend births in the woman´s home, in the midwife´s home, or in a public health center. Although we don´t hold our breath on that last one, we are excited about this step of official recognition and can now "breathe easier" in our practice. (Midwifery in Mexico has been legal but lacking official recognition).
