"Compassion House" is a Christian birth and midwifery training center in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Biggest Need....

Please pray that some expectant mommies will hear about Casa Compasiva and come for checkups!
So far God has provided each need just when we needed it.  Now we need some clients.  Just as George Müller prayed for each step in the process of developing his ministry to orphans, he had to actually pray that God would provide the orphans to fill it.  Likewise now is the time to pray for women to come.  Many loving hands are waiting to receive them.

  1. I'm reminded of a movie quote: "If you build it, they will come." I'm sure we will be busy here shortly.

  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHTsQ9qePrQ to hear the quote. Field of Dreams was about an impossible vision, too. :)

  3. I just want to encourage you in your work! I've been watching the progress of your birth center, and I hope to be part of it one day. I am a CPM currently volunteering at a birth center in Haiti - MamaBaby Haiti. I came here one month ago, and within a couple of days, we had our first baby born here. Since then, we have been seeing women for prenatal visits, and have more than 90 women who have come for prenatal care, and who want to deliver here - and we have done quite a few post-partum visits for women who have delivered at home or at local hospitals. One thing that has given this clinic a lot of exposure in the community is that fact that there are two naturopathic physicians on staff who hold clinics for the community for all of their health needs. Perhaps you could get some volunteers from Naturopaths without Borders to come and do some medical clinic days. Just some thoughts. My prayers are with you. Edie Wells, CPM, currently in Haiti
