It's (Not) So Hard to Find Good Help These Days!

I know that many people complain about their employees and the difficulty in finding good ones, but let me just say that that is not our problem at Casa Compasiva.

God has been so marvelously faithful to provide us with intelligent, responsible workers who see what needs to be done and who take the initiative to do it. They recognize the inadequacies of their leadership (me), cover them over with humor, and graciously forgive.  Not only that, but these ladies (the doulas) love Jesus with all their hearts and desire to share His love with others.

So what, you might ask, is the secret to our success in the personnel department?  I'll tell you: I don't know.  Perhaps just the right combination of prayer, helplessness, and the sovereignty of God.  We needed help, we prayed like crazy, and God heard and answered our prayer.  Simple as that.  Two of our doulas are the daughters of traditional indigenous midwives. One doula is a retired nurse with a specialization in pre-natal care.  One is English-speaking, resourceful, and indispensable in the development of teaching materials.  Others are young, energetic, single girls who are eager to learn and have fresh and innovative ideas.  All in all, they are nothing short of amazing!

But that is not all...

Besides a wonderful group of doulas (or monitrices), Casa Compasiva also has a faithful Christian attorney, a faithful Christian accountant, our marvelous lady doctor, and our overseeing doctor who gives us his covering and backing.  Besides that, we also have friends (who shall remain anonymous) who cheerfully sacrifice by sewing curtains, building cabinets and shelves, laying tile, doing electrical work, shopping for us, maintaining our blog-spot, giving advice, and praying for us and all of the mamas and babies.

This is nothing short of a work of God.
