Candy Concentration Contest

... brought to you by Casa Compasiva!

As we get in the spirit of pregnancies, births, and babies, we thought it would be fun to have a cyber-shower.  And what would a baby shower be without a game or two?  Please join us in this mind-puzzling contest, and maybe another time we can have a real shower with gifts and food.

Directions:  think of a candy (not just chocolate!) that would be appropriate for each baby- or pregnancy-related item.  (Notice that some do not apply to births at Casa Compasiva.)

Submit your complete numbered list via email to casacompasiva@gmail.com  Do NOT post answers in the comment section.  The first to complete the most correct responses will be the winner.

Ready?  Set?  Here you go!

... And of course to remind you to pray for Casa Compasiva this week and always.

Officially Dedicated to the Lord

This is just a small sample of photos taken at last night's open house/ dedication service.  To see a slide show of the ceremony and celebration or to add photos you may have taken, go to the following links:

Praise the Lord for a glorious evening with friends and supporters of Casa Compasiva!  It was a very full house.  We wish all who have contributed could have been part of this special occasion.

Again, thanks to the whole team who are part of this unique ministry.  Casa Compasiva would not be a reality without the loving help of at least one hundred helpers and financial supporters.

Open House (Casa) tonight

You are all invited to join us at Casa Compasiva this evening at 5:00 for a time of fellowship and prayer as we officially dedicate this ministry to the Lord.  Even if you live far away, please be in prayer for Casa Compasiva today.  Thanks!

Praise the Lord for Jenny Norris and her family as they prepare to join us in Oaxaca later this year.  Her husband, Greg, will serve as handyman, doing all the repairs and maintenance on the birth center.  (See photos below).

We also appreciate the help of these volunteers who came to wash windows and do some painting.  God is bringing together exactly the work force needed to accomplish all the remaining details.  To Him be all the glory.

Thank you for each and every contribution!

Until we advise you that we have more expectant mothers than we can manage, please continue praying for this need.  As Jenny quoted in her comment to the last post, "If you build it, (they) will come."  We pray this to be true.

Biggest Need....

Please pray that some expectant mommies will hear about Casa Compasiva and come for checkups!
So far God has provided each need just when we needed it.  Now we need some clients.  Just as George Müller prayed for each step in the process of developing his ministry to orphans, he had to actually pray that God would provide the orphans to fill it.  Likewise now is the time to pray for women to come.  Many loving hands are waiting to receive them.
